This Privacy Policy explains how Outsyd ("Outsyd", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the Outsyd app, website and related services (the "Service"). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and other applicable laws.
1. Introduction
By using the Service you agree to the practices described here and in our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details such as your name, email address, phone number and password.
- Profile information you choose to add, such as a display name or photo.
- Transaction details when you buy tickets or, as an organiser, when you list events and receive payouts.
- Communications you send us, for example support requests.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage data such as device type, operating system, app version, and how you interact with the Service.
- Approximate or precise location, where you grant permission, so we can show events near you.
- Identifiers such as device identifiers and, on the website, cookies and similar technologies.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and deliver the Service;
- To process ticket purchases, deliver your tickets and enable check-in;
- To show you relevant events, including events near your location;
- To enable organisers to run events and reconcile payouts;
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms;
- To send you service messages and, where you have opted in, updates about events.
4. Legal bases for processing
We process your data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service, where we are required to by law, and where you have given consent (for example for precise location or marketing messages). You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. How we share information
- With organisers of events you buy tickets to, so they can manage attendance and fulfil their obligations to you.
- With service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting, payment processing and analytics, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- For legal reasons, where required to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety and property of Outsyd, our users or the public.
- In a business transfer, if Outsyd is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Payments
Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. The payment provider processes your payment details under its own privacy policy and applicable security standards.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep the site secure and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the website works.
8. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
