Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 June 2026
Welcome to Outsyd. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Outsyd mobile application, website and related services (together, the "Service") operated by Outsyd ("Outsyd", "we", "us" or "our"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence, to create an account and purchase tickets.
2. The Service
Outsyd is a ticketing and event-discovery platform that lets you find events, buy tickets and follow organisers, and lets organisers list events and sell tickets. Outsyd acts as a marketplace and technology provider that connects attendees with organisers. Unless stated otherwise, the events themselves are created, run and controlled by independent third-party organisers, not by Outsyd.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@outsyd.ng if you suspect any unauthorised use.
4. Tickets and payments
- Ticket prices are set by the organiser and are shown in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless stated otherwise. Applicable service or processing fees, where they apply, are shown before you complete a purchase.
- When you buy a ticket you enter into a transaction with the organiser of that event. Outsyd facilitates the purchase and the secure delivery of your ticket.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. By paying, you authorise the relevant provider to charge your chosen payment method.
- Each ticket carries a unique code. Do not share, copy or resell your ticket except where the organiser expressly permits it. A ticket may be refused or voided if it has already been used, is found to be duplicated, or was obtained fraudulently.
5. Refunds and cancellations
- Refund eligibility is determined by the organiser's stated refund policy for each event. Please review it before you buy.
- If an event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed by the organiser, the organiser is responsible for any refund. We will help facilitate refunds where reasonably possible.
- Where a refund is approved, it is returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or payment provider.
- Service or processing fees may be non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
6. Organisers
If you use Outsyd to create or run events, you additionally agree that:
- You are solely responsible for your event, its content, its lawful operation, and for honouring the tickets you sell and the refund policy you publish.
- You will provide accurate event details and will not list events that are illegal, fraudulent, unsafe or misleading.
- You hold all rights, licences and permits required to run your event and to use the images and content you upload.
- Payouts of ticket revenue, less any applicable fees, are made to the account details you provide, subject to verification and to these Terms.
- You will respond to attendee enquiries and complaints relating to your event in a reasonable and timely manner.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- Resell, scrape, mine or harvest data from the Service without our written consent;
- Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
- Upload viruses, malicious code, or content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing or otherwise objectionable;
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.
8. Content and intellectual property
The Outsyd name, logo, app and all related software and design are owned by Outsyd and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use them without our prior written permission. Content you upload remains yours, but you grant Outsyd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
9. Third-party services and links
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services such as payment providers, map providers and the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Outsyd makes no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, regarding the Service, including the conduct of organisers or attendees, or the quality, safety or legality of any event. You attend events at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Outsyd and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from an event run by an organiser. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid through the Service for the transaction giving rise to the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm to Outsyd, other users or third parties. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
